The menu, which emphasizes seafood and fried dishes, receives consistent praise, with highlights including hamburgers, seafood platters, and chowder. Overall, Paddy's is regarded as a charming, welcoming spot that delivers consistently enjoyable meals, making it a popular choice for both locals and travelers.
This place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Stopped to eat on our way to cedar island ferry. The hamburgers were amazing. Great fries and okra as well. The prices were also fair. No complaints at all.
The restaurant is beautiful, the seating is comfortable. I’ve had to the calm chowder, the oyster basket and the flounder burger. Everything has been wonderful so far.
Outstanding hidden gem of a place. Well worth the trip! Patty the waitress is super kind and helpful.
Paddy's has the potential to be better. Their waitstaff was very helpful and accommodating. Their menu offers a reasonable variety of dishes, although they lean toward fried foods. Judging from the nothing but 5 stars reviews, the locals are either abundantly satisfied with the menu or know the restaurant operators and don't want to offend them. If it's the former, Paddy's should stick to what they're doing because they're obviously satisfying the regulars. However, if they're not getting enough repeat customers they may want to be more adventurous with their dishes and the ingredients in them, and also focus more on presentation. I'm a good, but not great cook, but know I can make dishes that taste better than what I had at Paddy's, and it's probably because I use a variety of ingredients, rather than anything to do with skill. Also, based on their waterside location, I thought that there was a chance they might have a water view, but they don't. I don't know what's going on with the land between their restaurant and the water, but if a picture window or expansion of the restaurant ever becomes financially feasible it would make for a more special dining experience.
Meal was fantastic, people were so nice. Love the seafood.
We were just passing through from the Cedar Island ferry, but I’m glad I found this place on Google Maps. Friendly service, fresh seafood with excellent preparation, and good value for the money. It fit the bill for what we needed perfectly
Holy Moly!! We are on our way to camp at Ocracoke and found this gem on Google Maps. Living on the coast, we eat good seafood often, so we know seafood. This place has VERY good, FRESH seafood!! We sat in the back of this small, very cute, very clean "cafe" type restaurant, and I was very pleased this time that it was near the kitchen. Seeing my food prepared by women singing great music and putting happiness into the food made me know for sure it was going to taste exactly how it did! DELICIOUS!!! You may not like to see or hear this kind of thing during dinner, but myself and my partner.... it just made us dance while we ate!! Wonderful service, great food, exceptional atmosphere!!! Don't pass this up! I can't wait to come back! Thanks, Paddy's. We you!
A small town gem! Paddy's was recommended by the Okracoke ferry check-in lady so we went. Outside could use a bigger Paddy's sign, but inside was really nice and clean. We were warmly welcomed and the great shrimp baskets arrived quickly. Our server was very friendly and professional. Hush puppies were delicious. We weren't expecting much, but had an excellent experience. Stop by if you are in Sea Level.
